Stephen Holtzclaw, M.D., has more than 20 years of experience in emergency medicine and has been with TeamHealth since 2001 as chairman, Department of Emergency Medicine at TeamHealth East client The Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore. He was recognized as TeamHealth East's Affiliate Medical Director of the Year in 2004.
A former paramedic, Dr. Holtzclaw earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and completed an emergency medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he also serves as a faculty member for the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Holtzclaw is board certified in emergency medicine. In addition to his hospital-based service, he has volunteered as a team physician for the U.S. National Shooting Team and the U.S. Modern Pentathlon Team. He also competed in five U.S. Olympic Trials and is a licensed FAA commercial pilot. Dr. Holtzclaw has relocated to southern Florida with his wife, Laurie, and their two children. |
