Stephen G. Baxter practices primarily in the firm's Chemical Practice Group. His practice includes the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. He also has experience in patent litigation in Federal District Court and in the International Trade Commission.
Dr. Baxter earned his Law degree at Georgetown University Law School. Formerly an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Tufts University, he received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Princeton University and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has published nearly 20 scientific articles in areas such as heterocyclic chemistry and stereochemistry.
Dr. Baxter is admitted to the Bars of Virginia and the Court of Appeals of the Federal Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Phi Lambda Upsilon, and the American Chemical Society.
