Stephen Quinn is Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Stephen was named to this position in January of 2007.
In this role he is responsible for all aspects of Wal-Mart’s marketing effort including customer research, marketing strategy and programming as well as customer communications. Stephen joined Wal- Mart in 2005 as Senior Vice President of Marketing.
Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Stephen was Chief Marketing Officer of Frito-Lay North America, a $9 billion division of PepsiCo. During 13 years at Pepsico, he served in a number of marketing roles including innovation, brand management, advertising, market research and customer marketing. He was the General Manager of Convenience Foods and separately the head of the Marketing Department for Frito-Lay Canada. Before joining PepsiCo, Stephen worked in marketing, sales and finance roles for Quaker Oats, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble and Nortel. He has managed several leading brands including Children’s Tylenol, Tylenol Cold Medication, Johnson’s Baby Products, Quaker Oats, Rice-A-Roni, Quaker Chewy, Aunt Jemima, Lay’s and Doritos.
Stephen earned an MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and a BA in Economics from Queens University, Canada. |
