Steve Heaney is a Managing Director and Head of Public Finance for Stone & Youngberg. With more than 30 years of municipal finance experience, he has directed billions of dollars in public offerings for a wide variety of capital improvement projects throughout California. In addition to his work in California, Mr. Heaney spearheaded the firm s efforts in Nevada where the firm completed the state s first developer-initiated financing district in 1989, and is now the state s leader in land secured and redevelopment financing. Over the past 19 years, Mr. Heaney has been a leader in creating public financing techniques to address the infrastructure needs of both large and small development and redevelopment projects, and is a frequent speaker on infrastructure and finance issues. He has assisted with the growth of the Public Finance Group as it has expanded its footprint outside of the West Coast to New York, Virginia and Maryland. Mr. Heaney is a member of Stone & Youngberg s Executive Committee. He is a former Chairman of the California Public Securities Association, and a member of the Board of Trustees for the California City Management Foundation.
