Steve began his association with The Chickering Group in 1993 as a member of the Board of Advisors. In 1997, Steve joined The Chickering Group staff as Chairman following his early retirement from William M. Mercer Inc., where he was a Worldwide Partner. During his tenure at Mercer, Steve worked with a variety of clients on all aspects of health cost management, both with providers and large employers. Prior to joining Mercer, Steve had been the President of the Government Research Corp., the Director of Health Affairs and Regional Operations for the United Mine Workers Multi-Employer Trust, and a faculty member of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Steve is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Tufts Managed Care Institute and is a member of the Board of Visitors of Boston University’s School of Public Health. Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master of Social Work degree Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service. |
