Stephen B. Swensrud is a businessman and private investor. During his career, he has been a director or trustee of numerous manufacturing, financial, and charitable organizations. Since 1982 he has been director or trustee of a wide variety of funds managed by the asset management arm of Merrill Lynch & Company. Since 1978, he has been Chairman of RPP Corporation, a specialized manufacturer of molded industrial diaphragms. Mr. Swensrud is also Chairman of Fernwood Advisors, Inc., a private financial management and planning firm. In 1973, Mr. Swensrud was a co-founder of Batterymarch Financial Management Corporation, where he served as Chairman until 1978. From 1967 to 1978, he was Chairman of the Bluebird Foods Products Co. From 1961 to 1967, Mr. Swensrud served as Vice President of the Boston Capital Corporation, a venture capital organization. Mr. Swensrud s interest in venture capital continues to the present time, and he is a partner or shareholder in several private venture capitalist entities. Mr. Swensrud was awarded an AB in History from Princeton University in 1955 and he earned an MBA from Harvard in 1960. He served with the U.S. Army Finance Corps in Tokyo from 1956 to 1958 and, following graduation from the Harvard Business School, he became a member of the staff for one year. |
