Dr. Friedman was a co-developer of the original home pregnancy test, and from 1971-1988 supervised the development of 14 medical diagnostic products for Organon, Ventrex, and Microgenics. As founder and technical director of Microgenics Corporation, he supervised the development of the recombinant, high-throughput CEDIA® immunoassay technology and products that continue to be sold internationally. Dr. Friedman has also commercialized 14 EPA-approved environmental testing products and is a co-author of Section 4000 contained in the EPA’s SW-846 Methods Compendium. Dr. Friedman developed the first EPA-approved immunoassays at a previous company. Dr. Friedman holds a Ph.D. degree in immunology from the University of California at Davis. He is a member of several professional organizations and has obtained numerous patents and awards for his work. |
