Steve Brown’s primary responsibility as Director of Leasing is the supervision of the company’s retail leasing activities. In addition, he is responsible for the direct execution of specific projects. With more than twenty-five years as a real estate broker with a concentration in retail properties, Steve has had experience with all types of shopping center projects- leasing properties ranging from small, unanchored specialty centers to multi-anchored regional malls. His experience includes the leasing of new centers as well as re-merchandising existing properties under redevelopment. Steve has former associations with Rubin Strouse Retail in Philadelphia and North Hills, Inc. in Raleigh, where his focus was on traditional enclosed regional malls as well as distressed properties.
Steve was recognized by the Triangle Business Journal for the execution of the Triangle market’s largest retail lease for 2002, 2003 and 2004. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, The Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors and the CCIM. Steve is also a member of the Board of Visitors of East Carolina University. He has earned the Certified Commercial - Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the CCIM Institute and the Senior Certified Leasing Specialist (SCLS) designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers. Steve is a graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. |
