Stefan Uwe Koschmieder is a partner in the firm's Chemical & Biotechnology Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Koschmieder worked for several years in the chemical industry in positions with technical and business responsibilities. His areas of expertise include organometallic chemistry, catalysis, polyolefin polymers, polycarbonate plastics, and polymer additives. He has published over 40 technical papers in his field.
Dr. Koschmieder received his Law degree from George Washington University Law School. He was a member of the moot court board and won "Best Oralist" in the Giles Sutherland Rich intellectual property law moot court competition at George Washington University Law School in 2002. After receiving his Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Texas, Dr. Koschmieder held a post-doctoral fellowship at Imperial College in London England with Nobel Laureate Prof. Sir Geoffrey Wilkinson. He also has an MBA from the University of Houston.
Dr. Koschmieder is admitted to the Virginia State Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Dr Koschmieder is a fluent German speaker and has worked for German companies in the chemical and microelectronics industries. |
