Since 1982 until present time Mr. Smoot is involved in International Business Development as an independent consultant. His business is focused primarily on the Southeast Asia (Hong Kong) and FSU countries. He negotiated over US 650 000 000 in international contracts including a US 490 000 000 manufacturing agreement with the China Great Wall Industry Corporation the commercial arm of the Ministry of Aerospace and Astronautics of China. Mr. Smoot managed numerous technology developments and transfer agreements and directed the formation of numerous Joint Venture companies in China and former Soviet republics. He is also a specialist in off-shore corporate asset protection and trust management. Mr. Smoot directed corporate mergers and acquisitions as a foreign equity transfer specialist.
From 1976 until 1984 Mr. Smoot was involved in real estate and natural resources in Salt Lake City Utah and Denver Colorado. He opened the Denver Colorado office of Marcus & Millichap a national commercial brokerage firm specializing in the sale and acquisition of income-producing properties. Mr. Smoot managed a development of 1 200 acres of sub-divisions in central Utah owned and operated apartment complexes mobile home park and ranch properties. He has been also dealing with oil & gas leasing exploration and production of gas wells with Questar in Montana. |
