Stanley Mierzwa is responsible for building and developing processes and procedures to support Population Council work. Mierzwa provides the Council with reliable and responsive information technology (IT) services by managing all computer activities associated with a client server environment within Council headquarters and the Center for Biomedical Research. This includes directing all efforts relating to systems infrastructure design, security, virus protection, electronic mail, office and business applications, Internet access, remote office connections, end user support and training, and telephone (including PBX, voicemail, and call accounting at the Council headquarters). Mierzwa previously worked at the Council as senior systems engineer, then supervisor of computer operations. He was previously employed as the director of IT at the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, and was a senior programmer and network administrator for United Parcel Service.
Mierzwa has a master's in science management of information systems from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in electrical engineering technology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. |
