Stanley Frank, B.S., M.S., Ed.D. - Founder and CEO. Dr. Frank has had a distinguished career as the Chairman, CEO and/or President of some of America's well-known companies in education, media, software and technology. Dr. Frank served as an acquisitions consultant to Morgan Stanley Capital partners for publishing, education and new media markets. A pioneer in the multimedia industry, Dr. Frank was Chairman and CEO of Compton's New Media, Executive Vice President at Encyclopaedia Britannica and President of CBS Publishing. At Encyclopaedia Britannica, he was responsible for Britannica's electronic publishing activities, acquisitions and joint ventures and investigation of new technologies. During his tenure, he acquired America Learning Corporation and Evelyn Wood Reading Dynamics; took the companies public, and served as their Chairman and CEO. Prior to joining Britannica, Frank was President of CBS Educational and Professional Publishing, a division of CBS, Inc. (this division was one of the largest educational publishers in the United States). He joined CBS in 1974 as President of Holt, Rinehart and Winston, and in 1977, was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the CBS Publishing Group. In 1979 he was appointed President of the CBS Educational and Professional Publishing Division. Under his leadership this division became one of the most successful domestic and international publishing enterprises in the United States. Frank was also a member of the CBS Corporate Policy Committee. |
