Stanley W. Shelton is executive vice president of State Street Global Markets and is responsible for the management of all of State Street's trading activities globally including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, derivatives and money market instruments.
Mr. Shelton is also responsible for developing State Street's institutional e-Finance network, which provides wholesale electronic intermediation and advisory services to many of the world's most sophisticated investment management companies, and is responsible for the firm's successful Global Link network. State Street Global Markets operates out of broker/dealer and bank branch networks in 11 countries, with over 1,000 employees.
Mr. Shelton joined State Street in 1984 in the Capital Markets group and subsequently established State Street's trading operations in Hong Kong . He relocated to London as the general manager of State Street's operations in London in 1989, and in 1992 was appointed division head for all of State Street's trading, currency management and research activities worldwide. He was promoted to executive vice president in 1995. He is a member of State Street's Operating Group and is chairman of State Street Global Markets LLC, the firm's broker/dealer entity.
Mr. Shelton has a Master of Science degree in finance from Boston College, a Master of Public Administration degree in public policy and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia. He also has a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
