Stanley received his Health Information Management Accreditation from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) in 1975 as well as a Bachelors of Arts in Human Resource Management from DePaul University, Chicago, IL. Additionally, Stanley graduated, with honors and earned an Associate Degree in Computer Programming from MATA College of Automation, Columbus, OH. He is a member of the American Health Information Management Association and maintains his credentials as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT). He served as Director of Health Information Management at four major medical centers in the Midwest and as a Vice President for a nationwide medical record copy service before starting his own consulting firm.
Stanley stays professionally active and has served on Boards at national, state and local associations. He is a recognized speaker and trainer on HIM management topics and has also published articles on a variety of HIM topics.
