Stanley Farrar has extensive experience in representing financial institutions, including mergers and acquisitions (including MTFG in its merger with UFJ, Banamex in its acquisition by Citigroup, and more than 30 deals in the western United States since January 2000), domestic and foreign securities offerings (including the IPOs of Bank of China Hong Kong and Bank of Communications in Shanghai and numerous Tier 1 and Tier 2 offerings by major Japanese financial institutions), corporate governance, commercial transactions and bank regulatory matters. Mr. Farrar is a former chairman of the Financial Institutions Committee of the State Bar of California's Business Law Section. He has chaired subcommittees on bank holding companies and letters of credit for committees of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association. The California Bankers Association presented Mr. Farrar with its Robert Frandzel award for outstanding contributions to the banking industry. Mr. Farrar has been a frequent lecturer and writer on subjects relating to financial institutions and mergers and acquisitions. He was a fellow at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, India in 1967-1968. |
