Stanley (Stan) C. Horton was appointed to the position of President & COO of Cheniere Energy, Inc., in April 2005. Mr. Horton has more than 30 years of experience in the natural gas and energy industry. Prior to joining Cheniere, Mr. Horton served as President & COO of Southern Union's CrossCountry Energy and Panhandle Energy companies, which together own and operate 18,000 miles of interstate pipelines and the Lake Charles (Louisiana) LNG receiving terminal. Previous positions include President of Northern Natural Gas, Transwestern Pipeline, and Florida Gas Transmission. Mr. Horton currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA). Horton also has chaired the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, the Gas Industry Standards Board (GISB), and the Natural Gas Council (NGC). Previously, he served on the board of directors for Portland General Electric and the board of directors for Elektro Electricidade e Serviços S.A.. He was a member of the Northern Border Partners' policy committee. Mr. Horton received his Undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Central Florida and his Master's degree from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL. |
