Mr. Yakatan is the Chairman of Katan Associates a consulting/advisory group through which he has served as a senior advisor to various healthcare companies over the last ten years. Prior to this Mr. Yakatan was CEO and co-founder of several companies including Quantum Biotechnologies Inc.; CryoSurge; Cystar Inc.; Proteine Performance; New Brunswick Scientific; BioSearc and Unisyn Technologies. Mr. Yakatan also served as a senior executive with New England Nuclear ICN Pharma and EI Dupont. He is frequently invited to speak at technology and financial seminars capitalizing on his wealth of knowledge in the industry and his experience in raising capital.
Mr. Yakatan has founded or co-founded over 15 companies in the U.S. and abroad. He sits on the board of several private and public companies as well as advising some of the world's leading venture capital firms and is strategic biotechnology adviser to the Premier of Victoria Australia. He is currently serving as Chairman of Grant Life Sciences Inc. a company developing a revolutionary test for the screening of cervical cancer. Mr. Yakatan is the chairman of Biocomm Service Pty Ltd. (www.biocomm.com.au) in Melbourne Australia and Miami Beach Florida building global partnerships for life sciences commercialization through licensing business development and seed financing.
