In 1982, Stan co-founded Unique Business Systems. The basic plan for the company was to provide software products based on the emerging IBM Personal Computer technology. With Stan as the techno-visionary, UBS introduced several innovative improvements to the standard equipment rental and point-of-sale software available at that time. Easier to use software, color screens, and fast multi-user access to key decision making data made UBS’ solutions No. 1 in their respective markets. Stan is responsible for UBS’ focus on emerging technologies for business applications. This has allowed UBS’ products to lead the market with solutions based on contemporary technology, while leveraging the domain expertise harnessed over two decades. Stan’s vision is evident in R2 and GigNext, where contemporary technology has been leveraged to leapfrog solutions into the next era. Prior to UBS, Stan worked for Atlantic Richfield for 7 years in several financial and analytical positions. Stan graduated from the University of California, at Berkeley in 1974 with a Bachelors degree in Biophysics. In 1978 he received a MBA from The Andersen School, UCLA. His area of specialization at the UCLA Graduate School of Management was Accounting and Computer Information Systems. |
