Stan Ross is a member of the board of directors of Forest City Enterprises, Inc.
Ross is widely recognized for his experience in strategic planning for real estate companies with his expertise in mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and the development of creative financial structures. He was involved in the initial organization of the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC), and was a member of the Auditing Standards Board of the AICPA, which sets the auditing rules for the accounting profession.
He is chairman of the board and senior fellow at the University of Southern California Lusk Center for Real Estate. He is also a senior consultant for Ernst & Young LLP. He is retired vice chairman of real estate industry services for Ernst & Young and a former member of E&Y's Management Committee, which sets policy and strategy for the firm. He had also been managing partner of the Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal Real Estate Group, where he was responsible for its overall business planning, strategy, direction and operations.
Ross is an honorary trustee and governor of the Urban Land Institute and a trustee of Baruch College, from which he graduated in 1956. He was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Laws degree from Baruch in 1999.
