Professor Kachnowski is a leading scholar and researcher in the health information policy and management field. He currently serves as the Chair of Health Information Policy & Management department at the HIT Lab and teaches classes onsite and remotely as a Visiting Professor at the IIT-New Delhi. He has taught ehealth and healthcare ebusiness for the past 17 years and authored over 100 scholarly works for the world’s leading societies. His teaching has included over 2,000 executive, part time, and full time students at Columbia University, Pace University, and Quinnipiac University.His research focuses on using statistical models to demonstrate if and how information technology improves human healthcare. Recent grants include studying technologies in the physician’s office, hospital, pharmacy, managed care organization, and clinical development group.Last year he was named to the Editorial Board of the International Journal of E-government and Policy. He was also recently elected to England’s Royal Society of Medicine for his research in a national hemophilia registry.
