Dr. Bernard is nationally recognized as a health care industry consultant, speaker, and author. He has been featured on national television and in leading publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Business 2.0, and Business Week. He has published over 50 book chapters and articles on health care and pharmaceutical industry topics.For fourteen years, Dr. Bernard served as a Senior Fellow at The Wharton School of Business where he initiated and taught in two courses, the Pharmaceutical Management course and the Health Care Information Technology course. Dr. Bernard is the recipient of the prestigious Wharton School of Business Alumni Achievement Award for his contributions to Wharton and the health care industry. Previously, Dr. Bernard served as a Principal in the Health Care and Pharmaceutical Industry Consulting Practice at A.T. Kearney. Prior to joining A.T. Kearney, Dr. Bernard held several executive business and medical positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceutical Company. He was the U.S. Product Manager for the launch of the cholesterol-lowering drug Pravachol, and served as U.S. Managed Care Medical Director, U.S. Director-Pharmacoeconomics, U.S. Medical Director, U.S. Assistant Director - Medical Services, and Manager, Worldwide Business Development and Licensing. Dr. Bernard received his M.B.A. in marketing and health care management from the Wharton School of Business.
