Stacey J. Rappaport is a partner in the Litigation Department of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Since joining the Firm in 1996, Ms. Rappaport has represented corporations, individuals and major securities exchanges in federal and state court litigation involving complex commercial disputes, breach of contract claims, regulatory matters, securities law issues and class action defense.
From 1999 to 2000, Ms. Rappaport was a law clerk to the Honorable Loretta A. Preska of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She was also an adjunct associate professor of law at Fordham University where she taught client interviewing, counseling and negotiation skills to second- and third-year law students.
Ms. Rappaport is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the First, Third, Fourth and Seventh Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. She is also admitted to practice in the states of New York and New Jersey.
Ms. Rappaport received her B.S. from Cornell University in 1992 and her law degree, cum laude, from Fordham University in 1996, where she served as an editor of the Fordham International Law Journal. She is a member of the Order of the Coif.
Ms. Rappaport is a member of the Board of Directors of the New York County Lawyers' Association. She is also a member of the Federal Bar Council, the New York City Bar and the Firm's Diversity Committee and Associate Life Committee. |
