Srisu Subrahmanyam is vice president of Continuous Improvement for United. He is based at the company's operations center in suburban Chicago.
Named to the position in June 2006, he is leading United's overall continuous improvement efforts, which focuses on its service to customers, revenue performance and operating efficiencies. Subrahmanyam also is responsible for United's industrial engineering group, which monitors and develops standards for the company's business processes.
Prior to his current position, Subrahmanyam served as a managing director in the Information Services Division, where he was responsible for investments in cost reduction, safety and compliance and employee engagement. Since joining United in 1999, he has held several leadership positions, including a manager of IT projects in the United Services division and a project leader on the flight attendant bid award system.
Subrahmanyam holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India, and a doctorate in chemical engineering from Purdue University. |
