Srinivas Kumar is a nine year veteran of Dunkin’ Brands with almost twenty-five years of global management experience. Srini was appointed to the position of Chief Brand Officer, Baskin-Robbins Worldwide in January 2008. Under his leadership, Baskin-Robbins, has enjoyed a successful revitalization and international expansion. Srini currently has complete responsibility for Baskin-Robbins globally, where he is focused on developing the strategic markets of both the U.S. and China, while maintaining and increasing Baskin-Robbins’ leadership position in the brand’s core markets of Japan, Korea, Puerto Rico and the Middle East.
Srini joined Dunkin’ Brands in 1998, as Vice President of the Middle East, based in Dubai UAE, where he licensed new markets and energized existing markets for Dunkin’ Donuts. In 2000, he was named Vice President of Europe and Middle East. Under his leadership, Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts enjoyed a complete turnaround in Europe both brands experienced loss-to-profit turnarounds. Canada and the Americas were added to his realm and Srini was appointed Interim Chief Operating Officer in addition to Vice President International for Dunkin’ Brands in 2004. As Vice President International, Srini oversaw a team of executives in 34 countries spanning South Asia, the Middle East, Canada, Latin/Central America and Caribbean markets for Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin’ Donuts. In this position, Srini’s area of responsibility was the fastest-growing business unit within Dunkin’ Brands.
Prior to his tenure with Dunkin’ Brands, Srini began his career in sales and marketing in 1983 with Unilever in India. After almost a decade with Unilever, the final post he held with the company was Marketing Manager, Food and Acquisitions. Relocating to Dubai UAE, in 1992 Srini took on the roll of General Manager for the Galadari Group the master licensee for Baskin-Robbins for six countries in the Middle East. In this capacity, Srini helped guide Baskin-Robbins to a complete turnaround, and in only three years Galadari became the largest Baskin-Robbins licensee worldwide. Under Srini's leadership, Baskin-Robbins attained brand dominance by entering non-traditional distribution centers such as supermarkets.
Srini majored in physics from St. Stephens College, Delhi University in Delhi, India. He has also completed marketing, finance and organizational behavior courses at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, UK. |
