Spencer Allen received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University in 1982. He founded Simtronics Inc., a product design business in 1987. Simtronics was a successful contract developer of electronic products, including low-power portable gas monitors, medical instrumentation, power measurement equipment and traffic counting equipment. Allen sold Simtronics to Market Central Inc. in 1996, where he became the Chief Technical Officer.
At Market Central, Allen developed physical layer switching systems for wired and fiber optic networks, laboratory instrumentation, high-voltage power supplies for biomedical separation and electrophoresis applications, desktop computer peripheral devices, telephone switching products and a portable high-power microwave dosimeter. Allen joined Aethon, Inc. in 2004 as Chief Technology Officer. |
