Associate Professor, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Clinical Nutrition, Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland. Ms. Connor's area of research interest is the effect of nutrients on the prevention of coronary heart disease, including n-3 fatty acids, and macular degeneration. She was instrumental in the development of over 700 recipes by the dietitians in the Lipid-Atherosclerosis Research Group and has authored and co-authored several books including The New American Diet, The New American Diet System and The New American Diet Cookbook. Ms. Connor is the former Speaker of the House of Delegates and member of the Board of Directors of the American Dietetic Association, She has published over 80 papers in medical and nutritional journals.
