Sohail U. Ahmed is vice president of the Technology and Manufacturing Group and director of Logic Technology Development for Intel Corporation. Ahmed is responsible for the development and deployment of next-generation silicon logic technologies that will produce future Intel microprocessors.
Ahmed joined Intel in 1984, working as a process engineer. He has held several technical and management positions in logic process development, contributing to the development of patterning and thin film technology. Ahmed also worked on the development and transfer to high-volume manufacturing of the last eight generations of process technology. Most recently, he managed all logic technology patterning development, which included the deployment of advanced lithography into manufacturing.
Ahmed earned a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of California at Davis in 1982. He received a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Southern California in 1981. |
