Smith Wood, Corporate Director and Principal Consultant. Mr. Wood, one of the founding Directors of Acenes, directs the company's strategic planning and business process management consulting practice. He has directed the implementation of business process management systems in many organizations with widely distributed operations, including food service operations with over 10,000 serving locations. Mr. Wood also is an officer in Seneca Corporation and directs Seneca's consulting and program support services in Veterans Affairs. His previous experience includes: CEO of Barrister Microsystems, Inc., a developer of financial and business process management systems for over 400 service organizations nation wide, and Research Director/Principal at Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., where he directed technical and strategic planning studies for federal departments, state governments and commercial companies. Mr. Wood received BS and MS degrees from M.I.T. and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is an Adjunct Professor in Georgetown University's MBA program and oversees the preparation of business planning research reports by graduate students. |
