Simon has over 22 years broad-based experience in biomedical product development and manufacturing (both single-use probes/sensors/catheters and capital equipment) with Tyco Healthcare (Nellcor), GE/Marquette (Corometrics), Novametrix Medical Systems and Physiological Instrumentation (a UK-based start-up). In addition to product development, Simon has extensive experience including clinical studies/biostatistics, regulatory strategy/submissions, intellectual property and manufacturing engineering. Prior to joining Novasys Medical in 2001, he led Nellcor's technical, clinical and regulatory functions in obtaining PMA approval of a breakthrough OB/GYN product. Simon's experience ranges from being the first R&D employee at a start-up to holding the position of Vice President of Engineering at Corometrics, leading a department of 55. Simon obtained his Bachelor of Science with Honors in Physics from Imperial College of Science and Technology in London. |
