Simon is a qualified architect and has been with InterContinental Hotels Group for ten years. He joined Bass plc in 1997 with Holiday Inn Worldwide-based in the Brussels office and moved back to the UK in 2001 when the head office moved to Windsor.
Simon has always been involved with property and technical services and has played an active role in the formation of brand standards, model room development and design reviews. In his role as SVP Design & Engineering EMEA he is responsible for a team of dedicated property specialists providing architectural, design and engineering support to owners, developers and investors encompassing all types of contract including franchising, management and company owned hotels across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Before joining InterContinental Hotels Group, Simon worked for Whitbread plc and was closely involved with the regional roll-out of Travel Inn and Brewer's Fayre in the South West of England. |
