Mr. Lee emigrated to the U.S. from South Korea in 1979. Beginning his career as an engineer, Mr. Lee performed in senior technical positions with various technology firms in the Washington area. By 1986, Mr. Lee founded STG as Software Technology Group, to address the growing demand for high quality, Information Technology (IT) support services. His vision for the company came to realization in 1993 when the Department of State awarded STG its first large contract to develop the software for a global visa tracking system. By the mid-90's, STG had grown its presence in both Civilian and Defense agencies, honing competencies in information assurance, telecommunications, and systems integration. From 2001 to 2004, Government Computer News has ranked STG as the largest contractor at the Department of State. Mr. Lee has led the company's evolution to a nearly $200 million provider of performance-based IT, homeland security, engineering, and scientific services with customers spanning across government and industry. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, STG has more than 1,300 employees operating in over 250 locations worldwide.
