Simon R.C. Wadsworth is Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Mid-America Apartment Communities, Inc. He is responsible for all financial operations including corporate finance, management information systems, accounting/reporting, portfolio management, market research and investor relations.
Mr. Wadsworth joined MAA in March of 1994, soon after the company’s initial public offering. Prior to his position with Mid-America, Mr. Wadsworth owned a distribution company in the Memphis area from 1982 until its successful sale in 1993. He previously served as Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for Holiday Inns, Inc.
Mr. Wadsworth, a native of Birmingham, England, earned his BA in Economics from Cambridge University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Wadsworth and his wife, Jill Wadsworth, have one daughter. |
