Simon de M Walker joined Octavian as General Manager, North America to lead the US Sales & Operations. Prior to his present position, Mr. de M Walker was CEO of Unicorn Solutions, an early-stage software company with success in the metadata repository market. As CEO of Unicorn, Mr. de M Walker focused on company strategy, sales effectiveness, operational excellence and improving connectivity between the marketplace and Unicorn’s delivery. Mr. d M Walker developed a new strategy to refocus the product and fundamentally change its path to market. In 2006, Mr. de M Walker successfully negotiated the sale of Unicorn to IBM.
Prior to joining Unicorn, he served as a Director of Business Consulting at Sapient Corporation. Mr. de M Walker started his career as an entrepreneur and has over 6 years of management consulting experience. As a consultant he advised global clients in various verticals including the Financial Services sector.
Mr. de M Walker holds a B.A. in Economics (Honors) from the University of Kings College and an MBA (Honors) from the University of Texas, Austin. |
