Dr. Archibald is the Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Chief Scientific Officer. He joined Integra in 1997 as Senior Director of Neurological Programs to oversee the clinical and commercial development of the NeuraGen Nerve Guide and to explore the development of a neurosurgical product line from the existing Integra collagen business and patent portfolio. In 1997, Dr. Archibald initiated and ran the program that produced the DuraGen® Dural Graft Matrix, for which he is a co-inventor. In 1999, he was promoted to Vice President of Research and Development for Integra NeuroSciences and in 2001 he was promoted to Vice President of Clinical Affairs. Previously Dr. Archibald was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Duke University Medical Center, to which he was appointed after completing Research Fellowships in Neuropathology and Neuroscience at Harvard Medical School. He graduated with a degree in Zoology from the University of Reading in the UK, and has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Staffordshire in the UK. |
