Mr. Simon Warren is a Managing Scientist in Exponent's Food and Chemicals practice. He is experienced in the practical conduct and interpretation of toxicology studies and in their application to regulatory risk assessments. He has a broad understanding of the many disciplines involved in regulatory toxicity and has particular strengths in carcinogenicity endocrinology and mechanisms of toxicity.
Mr. Warren has over 20 years of practical toxicology experience including conduct of more than 120 studies during 15 years in CRO and industry laboratories and regulatory experience in UK's Pesticides Safety Directorate where he became Head of the Mammalian Toxicology Branch. Mr Warren chaired a number toxicology ECCO (intergovernmental European harmonised risk assessment) meetings helping establish the procedures which now form the basis for many European evaluations and has been a temporary advisor to JMPR's WHO group. He has attained Diploma of the Institute of Biology in Toxicology Diploma in Toxicology of the Royal College of Pathologists and Diploma of the American Board of Toxicologists. Mr Warren's first-hand familiarity with international regulatory processes has resulted in fine judgement of the level of data and interpretation required for regulatory comfort. |
