Sima Nag has extensive experience across all areas of investment banking, particularly relating to private equity, as well as equity research. Over her career, Sima has worked on both buy-side and sell-side M&A advisories, exclusive sales, hostile takeover defenses and fairness opinions. She has also been involved in bank, investment grade and high yield debt and mezzanine financings, private and public equity financings, convertible and other equity-linked financings, as well as derivatives and structured products transactions. Sima has had significant experience across much of the consumer, retail and healthcare sectors, having worked with both companies and private equity firms. Prior to joining Synergy Advisors in 2005, Sima was a Coverage Officer in Bear Stearns’ Financial Sponsor Coverage Group where she was the Relationship Banker for a number of middle market and large cap private equity funds ranging in size from $500 million to $6 billion. During her tenure at Bear Stearns, Sima originated and executed numerous debt, equity and mergers and acquisitions transactions for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. Prior to joining Bear Stearns in 1999, Sima was an Equity Research Analyst at Merrill Lynch covering Apparel and Footwear companies where she covered a universe of ten companies and co-covered another ten companies. In 1998, Sima was named to the Institutional Investor’s Best Up and Comers list for the Apparel and Footwear Sector. Sima was previously an Associate in Corporate Finance at Merrill Lynch and at Lehman Brothers. Sima started her career as an Analyst in First Chicago’s Mergers and Acquisitions Group where she worked on both large cap and middle market advisory assignments. Sima holds a BA in Economics and a MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago. |
