Sidney Johnson, 45, is currently vice president of Global Supply Management for Delphi Corporation. He is also a member of the Delphi Strategy Board, the company's top policy-making group. Additionally, Johnson serves as the executive champion for DGSM Task Team.
In 1988, Johnson began his career with General Motors at Allison Transmission Division in Indianapolis. In 1994 he transferred to Saturn in Spring Hill, Tennessee. In 1995, he transferred to the former Delphi Harrison Thermal Systems in Dayton, Ohio. In 1998, he transferred to the former Delphi Interior Systems in Warren, Michigan, as Supplier Quality Manager. In 1999, Johnson was promoted to Manager, Quality Assurance.
In March 2002, Johnson was promoted to Director, North America Purchasing for Delphi Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio. In September 2003, he was named director, Global Supply Management for Delphi Packard Electric Systems. He was named to his current position effective February 17, 2006.
Prior to this position, Johnson was director, global supply management for Delphi Packard Systems, a position he has held since 2002.
In 1984, Johnson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Technology from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. In 1993, he received a Masters degree in Industrial Management from Wesleyan University in Indianapolis.
