Prior to joining Jones Waldo, Sid Baucom was the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Director of Utah Power and Light Company, a former director of the Western Colorado Power Company, Energy National Corp. and Vice Chairman of El Paso Electric Co. He is known throughout the electric utility industry as a result of his participating in a number of landmark utility cases. Sid is a member of the American Bar Association, the Utah State Bar, the Salt Lake County Bar Association and the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. Sid has served as a chair of Utah's Coordinating Council for Development Services and has been a member of the Mayor's Council for Capital Improvements, Utah's Hoover Commission, Constitutional Revision Commission, Airport Bond Committee and Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past president of the Utah Tax Payers Association, and the Southeast Lion's Club. Sid is also a director of the National Board of Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association. Sid has practiced law in Salt Lake City since 1954. He served as an assistant attorney for Salt Lake City Corporation in 1955-56. |
