As a Vice President, Shiva manages valuation engagements for financial and tax reporting purposes, estate and gift tax matters, fairness opinions, ESOP transactions, other corporate purposes. Shiva has significant experience in business enterprise valuations, audit and accounting, financial analysis, and project management. Prior to joining SEG, Shiva was an Assistant Vice President with the Valuation Advisory Services group at RSM EquiCo, Inc., an investment banking firm dedicated to midsized companies, based in Costa Mesa, California. She has extensive valuation and investment banking experience in M&A with valuation of over 150 mid-cap companies across diversified segments such as Technology, Manufacturing, Engineering, Consumer, Retail, Business Services, Distributorships, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Government, Financial Services, Oil and Gas and Construction. Shiva began her career in the audit practice of Ernst & Young s London office, where she worked on various financial service engagements. She then took increased responsibility at a large manufacturing company in a business development management role, developing her extensive international management experience in a highly entrepreneurial environment. Shiva then joined Nortel Networks Leadership Development Program where she worked on several strategic marketing initiatives and performed extensive financial modeling and funding analysis in the eBusiness Solutions and Wireless Internet groups prior to joining RSM EquiCo. Shiva earned her Master in Business Administration from the Walter Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley, California and Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Economics from The London School of Economics, London, England. She is a qualified accountant and holds the Chartered Accountant (the British and Canadian equivalent of a CPA) designation
