Dr. Chiruvolu has more than 14 years of experience in advanced technology development including lead roles in semiconductor materials processing, nanomaterials synthesis, and the development of composites and nanomaterials based product applications. Dr. Chiruvolu has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara specializing in micro- and nano-structured materials, self-assembled systems and biomaterials. He obtained his M.S. from IIT Mumbai and a B.S. from NIT Warangal, both in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Chiruvolu joined NanoGram as a Senior Process Engineer in October 1998. Prior to NanoGram, Dr. Chiruvolu served as a Senior Process Engineer at Applied Materials in the 300mm Process Development Group, where he led the development of the first 300mm deposition process modules on Applied Materials EnduraTM platform for metal deposition for integrated circuit fabrication. As Director of R & D, Mr. Chiruvolu is now responsible for development of NanoGram’s technology for synthesis and product applications of nanomaterials. During his tenure at NanoGram Dr. Chiruvolu has worked on a number of projects and has led collaborations and joint-development programs with leading international companies in the areas of nanocomposites, nanophosphors, other electronic and optical materials. As the Project Leader, Dr. Chiruvolu co-invented, and led the successful development of NanoGram’s LRDTM technology for planar glass deposition for lightwave circuit fabrication. He also held the titles of Manager of Process Development and Principal Engineer at NeoPhotonics, NanoGram’s spin-off company. He is a inventor or coinventor on 14 patents and patent applications. |
