TeamHealth Southeast is seeking a physician who is board certified or board prepared in emergency medicine or board certified or board eligible in primary care with emergency medicine experience. TeamHealth offers a high hourly rate, paid professional liability insurance (including tail coverage), flexible scheduling, and independent-contractor status.
This emergency department has a low-to-moderate-acuity patient population and an annual volume of 15,000. Physicians work single-coverage, 12-hour shifts with a solid, experienced nursing staff. The emergency department has nine private rooms, including four trauma rooms, and a heliport to transport traumas to Memphis, Tennessee, or Jackson, Mississippi. The admission rate is 13 percent; there is a short holding time in the emergency department. The hospital has their own ambulance and EMS squad. |
