Sherrie has over 18 years experience in medical transcription covering virtually every medical specialty from anatomic pathology to urology and has worked in all types of settings including that of independent contractor, in-house and home-based transcription for acute care facilities, multispecialty clinics, physical therapy centers, psychiatric inpatient hospitals, private physician practices, and a national medical transcription service company. Sherrie joined CTech in 2002 as supervisor, quality assurance. In addition she functions as the training coordinator. She has developed and implemented training programs for medical transcriptionists in both software applications and transcription practices with emphasis on AAMT standards for both CTech and adult education transcription training programs. Her continued efforts to research and keep current with the ever-changing medical terminology, surgical procedures, and pharmaceuticals is the mainstay of CTech's QA program, which provides consistent feedback to the MTs, thereby utilizing QA as a forum for continued education both in the US and offshore. This coupled with quality audits of CTech's offshore and US-based transcriptionists has enabled CTech to validate and maintain their higher level of quality |
