Mr. Shen is responsible for the Group's activities in the Chinese mainland. Before taking up this position in 2006, Mr. Shen was an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of China Resources Power Holdings Company Limited, a Hong Kong-listed Chinese independent power company. Mr. Shen was a Senior Vice President of Sithe Asia Holdings Limited and the Managing Director of Sithe China Holdings Limited. Mr. Shen worked for Wheelabrator Technologies, Inc. Mr. Shen also conducted energy research and project development for Oak Ridge National Laboratory of U.S. Department of Energy and Energy, Environment and Resources Center of University of Tennessee. Mr. Shen holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Law degrees from Beijing University and a Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Tennessee.
Mr. Shen is the Chairman of Guizhou CLP Power Co. Ltd.; Vice Chairman of Shandong Zhonghua Power Co., Ltd.; Vice Chairman of CLP Guohua Power Co. Ltd.; and a Director of CLP Guangxi Fangchenggang Power Co. Ltd. and Guangdong Nuclear Power Joint Venture Co., Ltd., all of which are jointly controlled entities of the CLP Group. He is also the Managing Director of Hong Kong Nuclear Investment Co. Ltd. and a Director of other subsidiary companies of the CLP Group.
