Shelly is responsible for leading the clinical development team as they design new care management applications for WorldDoc Tx and clinical interventions for the member of WorldDoc 24/7. Shelly is also responsible for the industry accreditation issues and clinical content management. Shelly's experience includes working with TCMA as the Nevada Director of Operations and the director of Case Management of NV, TX and Louisiana. In these dual roles, she was responsible for strategic planning, clinical oversight and contract management. Prior to TCMA, she acted as the Senior Director of clinical services at IPN, where she was responsible for all case management processes and staff management. In addition, she has worked with the IMX companies of Nevada Care and HMA Inc., as well as with PacificCare of Nevada as a case management team leader and a quality nurse specialist. As a CEO with Health Strategies Review, she rebuilt the independent medical review program, helping the company achieve full accreditation status with URAC for its independent medical review program. In addition, she provided medical consulting services for employer shelf-funded health plans. Shelly recently completed her third term as the national president of the American Association of Managed Care Nurses, where she oversaw the association's day-to-day operations. Currently she is an ex-officio member of the AAMCN board of directors, chairs its legislative committee and guiders its administrative staff in the services and products provided to members. She has spoken at many medical conferences on topics ranging from integration of case management and nursing leadership to time management and integration of hospitalist programs with hospital case management. After receiving her bachelor's degree in nursing from Michigan State University, Shelly went on in 2001 to earn Master of Science degree in health services administration. She also holds certifications in managed care nursing, case management and healthcare quality. |
