Shelley C. Koltnow, J.D., joined Via Christi Health System in October of 2006 as Vice President of Corporate Responsibility. She is responsible for ensuring that all VCHS entities are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, as well as developing trainings for Corporate Responsibility Officers and employees, conducting investigations of legal and regulatory matters, and helping educate Boards, Board committees, key management, medical staff leadership and staff on compliance policies and issues.
Shelley joined VCHS from Porter Health System in Valparaiso, Indiana where she served as Vice President, Compliance and Internal Audit, from 2004 to 2006. Shelley served as Vice President, Legal Services and Chief Compliance Officer for Forum Health in Youngstown, Ohio from 2000 to 2004. She served as Corporate Responsibility Officer and Legal Counsel for Humility of Mary Health Partners (a Region of Catholic Healthcare Partners) from 1997 to 2000. Prior to her career in healthcare, Shelley was an attorney with a private law firm in Akron, Ohio. She also served as Director of University Relations, which involved fund raising, alumni development and public information duties, for a region of Penn State University.
Shelley holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She has been licensed as an attorney in Ohio since 1989 |
