Ms. Johnson is our Forensic Manager and as such directs the operation of the Forensic service lab. She has been involved in thousands of cases during her nine year career. Before working at CBI-FIL she spent 3 years at the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory where she specialized in mtDNA analysis to identify the remains of those who have perished during military mishaps. Her DNA analysis experience also includes 6 years of experience performing both mtDNA and STR casework at The Bode Technology Group Inc. She has performed all aspects of forensic analysis to include consultation evaluation screening extraction amplification analysis interpretation reporting statistics case review and expert witness testimony. She has analyzed various types of biological specimens to include blood skeletal material tissue hair teeth human nails saliva urine and semen as well as various substrates containing biological material. She has performed mtDNA and/or STR analysis for the following: The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) The International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP)-Bosnia and Croatia The Innocence Project-(Charles Fain Christopher Ochoa and Richard Danziger) The World Trade Center (WTC) Alaska Air Flight 261 American Airlines Flight 587 as well as numerous sexual assault and forensic cases. |
