Sheila Blackwell brings more than 20 years of diverse communications experience to SRA. She leads internal and external communications, including Public Affairs, and is a strategic advisor on SRA’s leadership team. Blackwell’s extensive background includes global communications strategy, corporate communications, public policy, media relations, marketing and strategic communications planning.
Prior to joining SRA, Blackwell served as Vice President of Public Relations and Marketing for JDA Software where she led global media relations, analyst relations and employee communications. Her multi-national corporate experience includes positions at IBM in their commercial and federal systems organizations and MCI supporting their public policy communications outreach. She also held leadership roles at Teligent and StarBand, start-up telecommunications companies. Blackwell began her career as a television news reporter in upstate New York covering local, state and federal governments.
