With over fifteen years in the pharmaceutical and medical products industry, Dr. Silvestri has extensive experience in product development, technology transfer, life cycle management and marketed product support for solid products, powders, solutions (sterile and non-sterile) and injectables.
Dr. Silvestri joined Akorn in April 2007 and is responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of product life cycle infrastructure, with direct focus on R&D initiatives.
Prior to joining Akorn, Dr. Silvestri had a successful career with Abbott Laboratories, where he served in various executive positions from 1992 to 1997.
Dr. Silvestri received his Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Connecticut in 1989. He was Assistant Professor in Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Pittsburgh, School of Pharmacy from 1989 through 1992. |
