Shawn McCormick is responsible for Nakina's end-to-end software development, from engineering and design to test and support. Shawn's team develops and delivers the telecommunication industry's most innovative and flexible element management software products and solutions, designed to meet and exceed Nakina's customer requirements. Shawn is an accomplished motivator of technical and professional staff, with nearly twenty years of experience in telecommunications networking, service and network management, and all aspects of quality software product development and life cycle management. Prior to joining Nakina, Shawn spent fourteen years at Nortel Networks, where his progressive responsibilities covered leadership of verification, hardware, software, and solutions engineering functions. His teams were responsible for many of the metro optical and optical Ethernet product successes that carried Nortel's optical division through the market downturn. He brings vast experience integrating or working with various organizations following Nortel's acquisitions and partnerships, including remotely managing work in Ireland, Israel, India, and China. Shawn started his career with Leigh Instruments (now Spar Aerospace) as a hardware designer for a military communications system. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Electrical Engineering) degree from the University of Ottawa. |
