Shawn, Associate general Counsel, joined Thorntons Inc. in February 2002. As Associate General Counsel, Shawn assists the Vice-President - General Counsel in corporate legal matters. Shawn began his legal career as a prosecutor, serving two stints as a Senior Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney prosecuting felonies in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Shawn is a member of the Kentucky Bar, and is licensed to practice in the Eastern and Western Federal District Courts of Kentucky, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Shawn graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science in 1994 and earned his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law in 1997. |
